March Beauty Favourites 2016

I don't know about you, but March went by so quickly for me! It's as if I just blinked and it was already April. Not sure how I feel about that really. I have gained some new favourites this month so it was possible for me to post a favourites post.

Seemingly every girl has the Carmex lip-balm! It keeps my lips soft and crack free. It's very minty in taste and it can sting just a little bit but that's the price to pay for nice lips. Think about how good your lippy will look.

I could never apply the Rimmel Match Perfection concealer with a brush or sponge without it caking. Having been watching Kim K's makeup tutorials, the best thing ever, I seen that her makeup artists sometimes apply concealer with their fingers. It gave me the idea to use a little bit with my ring finger and it works!!!

My holy-grail bronzer is Benefit's Hoola Bronzer. It gives a subtle bronzed goddess look without looking muddy or orange. I like to apply this product with a fuller brush because it gives a more natural vibe to your makeup.

The Simple Eye Cream is so effective and light on your eyes but still nourishes and cares for them. I am a big Simple fan so when I picked this up, I was like yaaaassss. It helps hydrate your under eye so when you bake, you don't look all dry and ugh.

As a girl who breaks out quite often, I opt for medium to full coverage foundations rather than light coverage to cover acne and acne scars. I have been using the Rimmel 25 hour Foundation and I am impressed to say the least. It covers all unwanted accessories on my face and what not. But in saying that, do not apply too much as it will cake.. especially on dry skin and turn patchy.

Lastly, I set my makeup everyday with the Urban Decay Setting Spray! I payed €11 for this in my local Debenhams which I think is reasonable for the use it gets. Three spritz gets me through a day! Not bad.

Lash Talk: Strips V Individual

What do you think of this new series on 'BeautyxSteph' eh? I'm a lover of anything got to do with lashes so why not express my opinion to you this way! It is likely I will buy lash products quicker than a new foundation because it is a quicker process as you don't have to match a shade to your skin and the packaging is very appealing the majority of the time. Lashes and brows are my top priority hunny.

Todays post is all about Strip Lashes V Individual Lashes! Of course there are pros and cons of both products so I thought I'd round them up and then give my opinion. Simple!

Strips

Strips can be quite easy to apply for some but difficult for others because of the challenge to apply it as close to lash line as possible. It is less time consuming because you apply all the lashes at the same time and give a fuller lash look. The con of strips is the application of glue! It is annoying when you mistime the 30 seconds you wait before applying the lashes and the glue ruins your eyeshadow and liner. So sad.

Individuals

Individuals can be easy if you know what you're doing. The different lengths given are the best because you can measure the different lengths on you before you actually apply. Application of the glue is easier than strips because it takes an even smaller amount of glue and you are assured that it won't mess with your eye makeup The con of individuals is that you tend to lose them because they're so small and can get swept up without any notice.

I  prefer individuals because I go for a more natural look and it's a lot easier for me! Plus it's less time consuming. You won't face the problem of the glue becoming loose and looking like you're in desperate need of a rest or drunk!

Volume Million Lashes

Can't resist a new mascara ay? I always seem to be attracted to gold packaging also. The better looking the package, the more likely I'm going to purchase!

Pros
The mascara gives length and volume to your lashes which is always a good thing. It opens up your eyes and makes you look awake. Perfect for us girls that are always tired looking!

Cons
I found that it tends to crumple and you'll find little black dots all over your cheeks before the day ends. Also if too much is applied, it will clump together and it is very hard to un-clump them!
the price was also a bit of a con because it was €14.99 which in most cases is alright but I don't think you get your moneys worth with this product.

Nivea Post Shaving Balm for Men as a Primer?

I assume that you have heard about the Nivea Post-Shaving Balm is now been used for primer? If you haven't then I don't know why you haven't! It is the talk of the beauty world for months now thanks to NikkiesTutorials. I always had the agenda to go and buy it but when I go into Boots I always forget apart from the other day thanks to my sister. As I was at the checkout, the woman behind the check out told me that it is constantly been swiped off the shelves by women! Apparently they can't stock it soon enough and so I was lucky because there was only two left!! I decided to put it to the test during a few long day in school. I frequently come home with makeup running off my face, maybe it's from all that day-dreaming I do of travelling hmm. Just the right test for such a product!

Can we start with the scent? If you know me, I love any masculine scents such as cologne or aftershave. Of course this products smells masculine, it's for men! Who needs a man in their life when you can just purchase men products?!

When applied you rub it in until it goes tacky on the skin. I always give my face a little pat test during the day just to see if it stays tacky and trust me it does. It also gives a very hydrated look to your face which is a plus for my dry self.

Another bonus is the price! It was €6.79 at Boots. Not bad eh?
